It's about to get real

September 8 2020 social media post...

This is where it all began.

Back in 2015, the Sylvania News managing editor contacted the Toledo Ghost Hunters Society to investigate the old Reeb funeral parlor. Her family had owned that building at the corner of Main & Maplewood since the 1970s, and the publication's office was located on the second floor. The ghost hunters came out and did two investigations, over a year apart.

This sparked a firestorm of interest in "The Spirited Side of Sylvania." Haunted Sylvania gained widespread attention, more ghost hunts followed at other Main Street locations, and videos and publications were produced about Sylvania's historic district.

But through all of that, the owners of the former Reeb building remained silent. Their own story, and what they experienced over the decades that started Sylvania's paranormal firestorm, has never been told.

Until now.

Haunted Sylvania 2020. Stay tuned. It's about to get real.
